Here is a little tidbit concerning the place of origin, namely the Land of Erde.
I can’t seem to recall all which transpired a whole year ago when I began to write book one, but I do remember trying to consider a place for it all to occur. I believe I may have been pondering the ideas of Tolkien and his Middle Earth at the time, but could be wrong.
Using my on-line default dictionary, I found that the word for earth is “die Erde” in German. I believe that it may be pronounced Er’day in German, but for the purpose of my series it is pronounced Erde (rhyming with bird).
And hence we have the Land of Erde.
